Execute permission set but permission denied when unlocking IronKey

I have recently installed my first Linux system (Debian 8.2.0 i386 with LXDE) and I am having trouble unlocking my IronKey flash drive. When I insert the drive it is automatically mounted. The unlocker (ironkey) has execute permission set for anyone, but when I try to run it permission is denied. Please see the contents of the terminal below. What do I need to do differently to get it to run?

Code:
v@v:~$ cd /media/cdrom0/linux
v@v:/media/cdrom0/linux$ ls -l
total 826
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 818648 Oct 20 2011 ironkey
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 22344 Nov 10 2010 IronKey-TermsOfUse.txt
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 4081 Oct 6 2009 LINUX-README.txt
v@v:/media/cdrom0/linux$ sudo ./ironkey
[sudo] password for v:
sudo: unable to execute ./ironkey: Permission denied
v@v:/media/cdrom0/linux$

After looking into the automatic mounting process I learned about the fstab file. It had user as an option by default. Adding the exec option fixed the issue. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
