/etc/sysconfig/network quesion


Hi,

Why do we need to put NETWORKING=yes in /etc/sysconfig/network file, if we put as NO, what would happen? Thanks

Thank you, does it mean it won't look at the reolver when we put as NO, I want to verify some thing here to resolve my email issue. Thanks in advance.

When we type hostname, does this information grepping from /etc/sysconfig/network or /proc/sys/kernel/hostname, please let me know.
