I asume its an ADSL modem, and you want to run XP *and* Gutsy off of it.
XP of course finds it, and works with it..
Hook gutsy to the modem with a Cat5 cord *like the one on XP*
But.. look for ppoe packages in your package mamager to install as DSL is very different from normal cable conections. Those packages *may* help you auto configure your networking.
