EP440XS board BSP question

Hello, I need to port linux kernel to EP440xS(PPC440EPX,AMCC). I have done the porting and build runs smothly. After loaded to the board,
After the message of uncompress is OK, it hangs. How can I debug it without a HW probe? I have many years of embedded SW development experiences, but new for LINUX. Thanks.

used BDI2000 for ppc440 family processor wanted

In order to debug my problem, I need a BDI2000, but I can not afford a new one. If anyone has a used one, I would like to buy it. Thanks.
