Emerging ppc kernel in gentoo

im basically following the gentoo install instructions step by step and it says i need to get the sources for the ppc kernel. it says i need to "emerge ppc-development-sources" but when i do that, it says that there is no match for that in the emerge database. i can only guess that it was updated and that the ppc kernel was changed to a different name. if so what is the new name? i assume there will be multiple ppc kernels, so is there one that has both HFS+ and firewire support built in?

ppc-dev-sources

If you wish to have these support compiled into the kernel configure and compile it yourself, don't use genkernel.

now i get an error saying that ben H. and linus have merged their 2.6 trees. it suggests that i install either gentoo-dev-sources or development-sources. when i try both, i get another error saying that they both conflict with another package on the system.
