i just installed linux redhat 7.2 and when i boot, i cannot get to choose my win xp. how to get it back?

win xp installed at hd 1 (primary)
redhat installed at hd 2 (secondary)

both is diff hd.

when i was asked to choose to install where to install the boot during redhat installation, i set it at hd1. is it wrong? pls help... i dont know how to use linux at all. i can get into windows recovery but i dont know what to do to get it back. pls help.. thanks in advanced

Do you have lilo installed as a boot loader?
I can't remember RH7.2 what was using.
Anyway...if you have LILO, you can edit the file "/etc/lilo.conf"

write: mcedit /etc/lilo.conf or other editor such as vi/vim ... from command line.
You should add an entry at the end of the file as one below, but modified for your settings ( I put between lines exactly the configuration ).

AND AFTER THAT RUN "lilo" FROM COMMAND LINE....should give you a message like:
"root@cristiroma:~# lilo
Added linux-2.6.6 *
Added linux-2.4.22
Added Windows
root@cristiroma:~#
"
then REBOOT.
