Post dual boot Ubuntu - black screen or (initrompf)

I used Wubi to install Ubuntu and have a dual boot screen upon turning the computer on. When Ubuntu is selected I end-up with a black screen or with a "prompt" (initromps) How can I get Ubuntu to fully install or is there a command I can enter after this "prompt" that would leat to Ubuntu?
