Red face Display Prob with VGA


Hi,
My mouse is getting detected.i have installed red hat
6.1 by putting the option text.but now when i start
display by startx it's giving mode not found.
i have tried xconf but when it's asking abt clock settings i am not sure what to give.and superprobe is failing too.
i have a generic VGA compatible card.waiting to hear from u.

Just knowing that your card is generic VGA isn't really enough. Things will go much smoother if you can give us te exact model of your card. knowing what chipset it uses would also helpful. You'll need to know the horizontal and vertical refresh rates for your video monitor as well.
