Connect my netbook to wireless but it wont connect to the internet but it did .

My netbook has stopped connecting to the internet. Yet it has wireless connection. I click on the hotmail icon it spins for a short time then cuts out. This has only come about since Saturday, when I turned my netbook back on! Any ideas please!

do any other sites (google, cnn, bbc) open? What if you open them via IP, not via name? Try http://209.85.143.104 - this one is Google.

ok when you say it has a connection does that mean you see your wireless router or others? or do you mean you have a strong signal and its not connecting to the internet? could be you need to be closer to your signal

I am not good with netbooks unfortunately.
Do you have any icon for just internet browsing, not hotmail-specific?
can you click on the link I provided in my previous post?

Open a terminal window and at the prompt, can you ping 209.85.143.104 and can you ping google.com?

Let us know what happens when you ping google site using the IP and name!

You can also log into your router's management and see if it has an external IP address, and try releasing and renewing it.
