Change disk letter

I made a backup of my disk hdb with clonezilla
The disk is now broken, so I change it, but the new one is called hdf (I don't know why, because this disk is also primary slave).

Clonezilla can't restore the image because they look for hdb that doesn't exist anymore.

how can I change my disk from hdf to hdb?

Or, How can I force clonezilla to restore di hdf?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Andreafi,

I'm guessing you might need some of the tools provided in some of the various system rescue cd's that abound upon the 'net. The one I like the most is one simply called systemrescuecd. It is a linux based live cd, does a great job!

Here is a link:

SystemRescueCD

That is the home page for the project, it gives a good run down of some of the technologies provided. Gparted is a good one for changing partitions, but be very careful! I think you might find something that may help you.

Exclamation

BTW, you might fill in your signature and profile information, it's easier for folks to help you when they know your distro...

Just a thought...
