caps lock
I would like to have my caps lock automatically switched on when linux boot (I know this is not so necessary but this is the last thing I need to feel really good with linux)
is it possible to do that? and if yes, how?

Yes it is possible as numlock can be turned on at boot.
Use the program 'setleds' which you probably already have on your system.
