Cannot Update KDE Neon or Reinstall KDE Neon or Linux Mint

I have a quad core Gigabyte PST45 mobo with 16 gb ram and a 500gb ssd, Vnidia 970 video card.
I have KDE Neon installed on it. It will not update ,nor will it boot to live install using Rosa Image Writer. I have tried a new hard drive. I have tried a Linux Mint .iso and another kde neon .iso These isos will work fine on my laptop, but not on my desktop. When I try to update it tells me

rrors were encountered while processing:

When I try to reinstall, it boots, but I get this

There were more lines, but last one was

Discover crashes when I try to run it, pkcon refresh and update doesn't work. apt update and upgrade won't resolve this either. Memetest found no problems after running 24 hrs.
I have tried to find the problem on my own for a month ,but just don't know. Id like to just reinstall, but don't have that option.

What errors do you get when you boot the live CDs? Press Escape or F2 when you see the flash screen to see the boot messages

Cannot update kde neon or reinstall

Thank you so much for your answer:)
I installed the latest Linux Mint to get my machine working. It has a compatibility mode that lets me bypass the nouveau drivers that stopped me from reinstalling kde neon because I have an Nvidia GTX 970.
I'd like to reinstall kde neon. I would like to know if it's possible to get past those nouveau drivers since the error messages I got listed those at least 3 times.
I have a usb key with KDE neon on it and have checked the sha256sum. I'm ready to try again. This time I'm not going to update the kernel each time it comes up because I think how I broke it in the first place. 8 packages were partially configured. I couldn't figure out how to remove or configure them. Trying to install kde, I tried adding nomodeset to the grub line, then modeset=0,then nvidia.modeset=0. The first time I tried this I had an older nvidia card. Nomodeset worked.
So may I ask how to install kde neon with an Nvidia GTX 970? Thanks again! Komack

Got KDE NEON Installed

I guess this was such a newbie issue... Reinstalled KDE neon by pressing f6 when I saw the bullseye, going to the grub line, deleting quietsplash and replacing it with nouveau.modeset=0.
