Cannot load DSO (32bit) in 64bit CentOS

I recently would like to port my application to 64bit AMD CentOS.

I got the following error when trying to load my application, a DSO compiled with 32 bit compiler.

Error Message:
Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 1026 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /var/www/html/dstool/libTool.so into server:
/var/www/html/dstool/libTool.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[FAILED]

Appreciate for someone to cast light to this issue.

Did you compile your app on a 32 bit machine, or did you compile it on the 64 bit machine?

32 bit apps sometimes have issues running in a 64 bit environment.

Hmm... looking at your error message again, it seems that there's something wrong in your httpd.conf at line 1026... Seems to be a missing library. I don't know which one though, you might want to google for libTool.so

as for Kylix, do they have a 64 bit version? you might have to run it in a 32 bit chroot.

Sorry, libTool.so is my DSO module.

Apache can't find it.

Kylix doesn't have a 64bit version.

What do you mean by run it in a 32 bit chroot?
