can't load mysql.so

Basically I was trying to convert an ISM table to MYISAM and I got an error message.
I have researched this problem for a few days on google. I am a newbie.
Do I need to load a module or do something to the server to get it to work?
Or is there an easier way to convert these old tables another way?
What happened is we moved all of our stuff to a new server. Some programs were using ISM instead of MYISAM.
Thanks.
Dave.

Hello Dave,

Wild guess here, if you have reinstalled or updated perl then the modules do not always get updated or rebuilt themselves. Some distros (gentoo anyway) provide a script to rebuild all perl modules after a perl upgrade.

In any event, I think your solution will be to rebuild your mysql perl module, as there is a symbol error which typically means a version mismatch.
