Cairo build from source (1.14.10) is failing at cairo-analysis-surface.lo. Message:

libtool: Version mismatch error. This is libtool 2.4.6 Debian-2.4.6-0.1, but the
libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from libtool 2.4.
libtool: You should recreate aclocal.m4 with macros from libtool 2.4.6 Debian-2.4.6-0.1
libtool: and run autoconf again.

I did just run ./autogen before that, then this came up. Before then it was a different message saying libpng16.so does not have value at inflateValidate. I'd set LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib64 -lz" at ./configure that still came up.

Have not found anything on this, anyone?

If you want to build cairo from source, then download the Debian source package, configure it the way you want, and build it the Debian way. The question is, why are you building it from source? Are there some configuration changes you need to make?

I've been using Debian since Woody. I have compiled one package from source during that time. It just usually isn't necessary.

This one was built on CENTOS 7. I don't think it's Debian.
