hi,
got corel linux on cd recently [from linux format magazine]and i installed it along side my already existing win98,i followed the instructions and after installing all the programs it prompts me to remove the disk and restart the pc for the insallation to be completed.but after restarting it just boots into windows.
i noticed tough that it didn't give me any option of setting linux to boot.
i then installed a boot loader, where i can select what os to boot to, it still didn't go.
pls what should i do?,where did i go wrong?,pls i need help as soon as possible.i'm really intrested in linux.
i hope from someone ASAP
thanx

During the install you should be asked where you would like to install lilo. If you pick MBR you will get a LILO prompt when you boot the machine. This prompt will allow you to choose windows or Linux.

You may have placed LILO in the wrong place inadvertantly. Re-install and make sure that it goes in /dev/hda or the MBR like jeremy said.

If you have Linux format magazines then why not get the Christmas one and install Mandrake 7.2 . Its a lot easier to install and I have heard that the corel distro is not working that well (I have the same one from magazine 7 and It did not configure my system well).
