Assistance with mail relay

Hello good day

I am running Slackware 13.37 have set up mail and tested it locally by sending and receiving between some local accounts to the mail server. When trying to send mail to another test server the error ‘relaying denied IP name lookup failed
[Ip address].

Some Investigations suggests an entry into the etc/mail/access file any assistance to write to the file is sppprecidyrg

That error appears to be coming from the receiving server.

Most mail servers are by default configured to deny relaying as a result of spamming done using mail relays in the somewhat distant past. I suspect that unless the remote server you are testing is managed by your ISP and the management allows you to relay through their host that you will have problems doing relays.
