when ping I get Destination host unreachable

hi
I'm newbie in suse10 linux and I had configured a DNS and every thing had gone fine.... and I connected to the internet, ping with the gateway via ethernet called eth1(Built-in NIC)

my problem starts when I rebooted the PC.when ping with the gateway and the DNS itself????

I get:

Ping 192.168.0.72 from 192.168.0.71: 56(84) bytes of data
From 192.168.0.71: Destination host unreachable

and put in mind that the if config command gives eth1 is up

So, how do I get a connection I'm new in networking setup, so please be patient.

what does ifconfig say about your nic status?
