Hi guys,
I'm trying to access the console port of a Cisco 2900XL switch using minicom on Slackware 12.1.
I'm using a USB-serial adapter, and have followed the instructions on
http://useopensource.blogspot.com/20...-in-linux.html (found in another thread), but I cannot get it to work.
After using lsusb to find the adapter details, I added a line to rc.modules, and now it come sup as /dev/ttyUSB0 (which is great). lsmod shows usbserial as loaded.
I tell minicom the settings to use (/dev/ttyUSB0, 9600 8N1, flow control set to off), but it will not connect to my switch.
I know the adapter and cable are good as they work fine on a Windows box using HyperTerminal.
Does anyone know what I might have missed?
Many thanks,
Mark.
