System Host Name

Probably something simple for a real Linux person. When a setup my server I only put the computer name in as "server". Which makes it so that I have to custom program other services(ie Sendmail) to know the domain name. How can I change the computer to be "server.com"

change the name in /etc/HOSTNAME
Then you have to restart, or if you don't want to restart run hostname <hostname>
