SSH over Cisco VPN Client on Fedora Core 2

I have successfully installed the Cisco VPN Client for Linux. When I ssh over the VPN I successfully connect. However, when I issue a command that results in more than a page of terminal output, the connection freezes. Has anyone seen this behavior?

Also, can someone tell me how to specify the location of Cisco VPN log files. I've read the admin guide and found references to /directory/clientlog.txt but nothing regarding how to set the "directory".

Fedora Core 2
2.6.8-1.521smp

Thanks,
Mark

Probable Solution - eepro100

Although this is an old post, I have found this to be a common problem. It seems that some Linux network drivers don't play nicely with the Cisco Linux VPN Client.

A popular drive that doesn't work is the "e100" driver. If you edit /etc/modprobe.conf and change...

alias eth0 e100
to
alias eth0 eepro100

save and close (of course)
Reboot your machine and you should be good to go...

I've also seen this problem with the tg3 driver, but fixed by using the bcm5700 driver.

Good luck!
