ssh not prompting for password and thus not working


hi
I'm trying to ssh to my debiancomputer using a deb. laptop

following command

ssh -v root@debiandell (hostname of server, username is existing on both machines)

I receive following output

what is wrong? is it on the server or on the client? I think its on the client, but I don't know.

The server seems to be configured for public key authentication (only?) and it doesn't recognise the key offered by the client. On the server you could change PasswordAuthentication to yes in /etc/sshd_config to enable password logins while you sort out your keys.
