SMB networking issue


I'm trying to transfer files from my linux desktop and my Windows laptop and visa versa. i've established shared directories on both systems but can't access the shared directory from the other computer. what should i do?

First thing is to clarify your question:

You can't go from Linux to Windows, from Windows to Linux, or both? Can you see any files? Browse the tree? Get a login box on Windows? What version of Samba? On what linux distro?
