Crescendo LQ Newbie Registered: Mar 2001 Posts: 4 Rep:	Hello all - I've been lurking around here for a while looking for an answer to this one, thought I'd ask it... System: P-class 233 48MB, RH7 (fresh server install) Whenever I log into the box, via ftp or thru the pop server, it takes FOREVER to validate the password. Symptoms: Initial login seems to cook right along - user name accepted, prompts for password, then SITS there for a while (up to 60-90 sec) then let me in no problem. I've read the threads about reverse lookups, and I don't think that's the issue, but maybe I've missed something obvious... TIA - Clifton Grimm ckgrimm@qx.net
