setting virtusertable in sendmail creates problems with aliases set

Hi,

I've sendmail server running.I had setup aliases for some users to forward their mails to other users and to create some mailing lists. Last day I wanted to create a catchall rule so that any mail that is sent to my domain will reach the specified user in virtusertable.So I gave this entry in /etc/mail/virtusertable

@mydomain.com jomy

This was working well and I was able to get wrongly addressed mails also.

But then the problem I noticed was that my aliases were not working.In /etc/aliases fle I had given entries like

user1: user2

user3: user4

All mails addressed to user1,user3 were forwarded to the user specified in virtusertable(ie, jomy).If I remove the entry in virtusertable , all aliases will work fine.

How can I correct this problem?

Waiting for your valuable replies

Thanks in Advance

Jomy
