Set dhcp timeout in Suse 8.0

I have narrowed my problem down to the my dhcp server timing out. Does anyone know how to change this setting in Suse 8.0?

All my other computer are able to reviece a ip address from my lynksys router.

I am even able to diretly connect to my cable modem and get an ip address just not from my router.

I'm sure the problem is timming out becuase thats what the x-concoul and what the log says.

Please help!

The the dhcp time-out is specified on the client and is usually found in /etc/dhclient.conf. This sounds like it could be a different issue though. I think the default timeouts are normally fine. You can get timeout errors if there are other problems (like routing). Try sniffing the wire with tcpdump and see if you can see dhcp requests hitting your dhcp server.
