Sendmail: Domain of sender address does not exist

Hi,

Running RH7.3

Trying to send myself an email message from the webserver to my pop account at my isp.

I get this error: Domain of sender address root@tamp does not exist.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I figured it out...

vi /etc/sysconfig/network

hostname tamp.wolfix.net

Restart server.

However, I only restarted the network and sendmail so it did not work.

So without restarting anything I entered the following command:
# hostname tamp.wolfix.net

Now the mail server I am sending to accepts my mail.
