Send logs to email address

I would like to be able to send my server logs to my gmail account instead of /var/mail/$foo. My Ubuntu installation has sendmail and i've examined sendmail.conf, the access file, and some other config files, but can't seem to find the setting to redirect logs to my gmail email address. Anybody know how to do this?

Hi,
i'm not sure if syslog can do that, but i'm sure syslog-ng can.
syslog-ng, for new generation, can be installed as a replacement for syslog.
