Hi,

I've allways had this error when using samba... all the same it has always worked.
So I just don't know where it comes from, but that shouldn't avoid you to use samba.

Hi, for days I was looking for the cause.
I have solved this problem NT_STATUS_OK from samba
$ smbclient -L WINDOWS_XP_SERVER

I can see the shares from others machines but not from my printer server, so the solve is...
IN THE XP WINDOWS COMPUTER
I forgot to take out in that machine the SIMPLE SHARE OF FILES in
START->RUN
explorer
At the (file) explorer menu:
Tools->File (or folder) options->View
(near the bottom) NO DOT USE "simple share of files (recommended)"

I reboot the windows machine (for be sure of changes)

AFTER THAT I CAN SEE THE SHARES AND I RESOLVE THE NT_STATUS_OK problem (this message dissapear)

Good look.

Maybe you problem is this, maybe is other the cause, but you should be sure and probe, it works to me. ;-)

I hate to bump up a 7 month old thread, but I haven't found an answer for this myself. My house has three computers, mine (dual-boot Slackware, XP home for games), my dad's (XP pro), and a laptop (XP home). The only connected printer in the house is on my dad's XP pro, and all the windoze can print it fine. But my Slackware can't get a browse list from. If I use anonymous in the KDE Add Printer Wizard, it returns NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED and if I use any user name it says NT_STATUS_OK. I assume this is either a problem with his computer or with XP pro as my Samba can access itself and the laptop just fine (even the laptop's Win2PDF pseudo printer). I've turned on the "print services for unix" option, but that doesn't seem to have helped anything.

Also, I tried looking up what gengis suggested, but I couldn't find a "simple share of files" in folder options, nor do I know of where XP has system-wide sharing options at all,
