Were you able to select your printer? Is the ppd file in the proper place? How about the username and password. Please post the contents of /etc/cups/printers.conf.
good luck.
sorry i havent replied in a while, i've had a lot of homework
i would show you the error_log file but it is too long and linuxquestions.org forbids me from posting a reply that long
most of the file says
Code:
E [12/Sep/2004:11:53:18 -0700] [Job 3] Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds...ERROR: Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Believe me, I understand the homework thing, it's been a while, but not forgotten. That said, try adding the printer with this uri.

I believe somehow the network path and or users are the cause of the problem. Did you try removing the printer, and adding it from scratch? Double check the windows machine for firewalls. I know this is frustrating, hang in there.
good luck.

When you say you disabled the firewall on the windows box, did that include the icf from within windows? One other thing, which driver are you using?
good luck.
