Network is Unreachable/Unknown host/Destination Host Unreachable [Debian]

I'm running this on vmplayer on a windows host.

output of cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

Output of route:
http://gyazo.com/87e0384868ac101f694d7e6d7559731d.png

When I ping 192.168.1.1 I get Destination Host Unreachable
When I ping google.com, I get unknown host google.com
When I ping another address on my network, like 192.168.133.1, I get network is unreachable

According to the output from the route command, 192.168.1.1 seems to be the IP address of the host itself. At the same time, you're using 192.168.1.1 as the gateway address. A host cannot be its own gateway.

Can you post the entire network configuration (IP address, netmask, gateway)?

That's the IP configuration of the Windows host, which has the address 192.168.1.127 bound to a wireless adapter.

what's the IP configuration of the Debian system? And how is the virtual ethernet adapter configured in VMWare?

Any specific command? Also, I didn't configure anything.
