My Wired Internet Connection Disconnects A Few Hours After I Restart My Computer.

While the internet is working fine with the wifi provided by the modem I have wired connection to, I suddenly lose my connection 1-2 hours after turning on my computer.

The operating system of the computer I am having the problem with is fedora 37 and my kernel version is 6.0.14-300.fc37

This problem is not solved unless I reboot the computer.. Plz help me..

This sounds like a hardware failure.

What have you done to resolve the issue?

Swap our ethernet cable, check the points where it is plugged for dust of damaged pins.

Use the ip commmand to display status, or ifconfig command. You can bring an interface up or down with ip or ifconfig commands.

Check your logs for errors.

I would second camorri's suggestion. In addition, you might check the logs to whether any messages are logged around the time of these disconnects. You can use journalctl to check for a specific range of time; see about two-thirds of the way down this page.
