More IP adresse on 1 NIC

I have RedHat 9.0 on vmware gsxserver 2.5.1 (host Win2000 serv) without GUI. I have 3 IP adress on 1 NIC ,IBM http server 1.3.26 fix 2 and cumulativ fix2 (DMZ) ,web server talk with application server across plugin xml file. First and other html or jsp pages are on app server when I put a primary IP on ifcfg-eth0 first page always works , but when I put this IP adress secondary ifcfg-et0:1 in few minutes I can't get a first page.It is behave like denail of service on app server. Ping and telnet on port works from both sides,in first I was thinkig that was a problem with software but this work very good on Win 2000 serv. When I do ifdown eth0 then ifup this works again for few minutes.
