Mgetty /AutoPPP/ line does not work wright! PPPD doesn't receive the wright parameter

Hi,

I have configured a remote access server using pppd and mgetty. And it's working fine, however just for one link. I couldn't make it work for more than one link (modem).

The server works only when the ip address of the server and the client ( serverIP:clientIP ) are specified in the /etc/ppp/options file. If I remove these ips from this general pppd configuration file, and put then in the port specific file, ex.: /etc/ppp/options.ttyS1, the server won't work. That's why it's working for just one link.

Trying to overcome this problem, I changed the /AutoPPP/... line of the file /etc/mgetty+sendfax/login.config, from this:

/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd

to this:

/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyS1

Doing that, I solve the problem of having to specify the ip address of the server and the client ( serverIP:clientIP ) int the /etc/ppp/options. Now I can specify these ip address where they should be, in the /etc/ppp/options.ttyS1 and similar files. But one more time the server will just work for one link, the one specified by the parameter /dev/ttyS1.

How could I solve this problem? How could I make the mgetty pass the wright parameter ( ex.: /dev/ttyS1 or /dev/ttyS2 etc.) to the pppd?

Thank you in advance,

Diogo Costa.
