I installed mandrake 10 perfect today for first time on my laptop, didnt recognise my grapgics card and Xircon REM56G PCMCIA Network/Modem Adapter, I managed to install my graphics card ok after just got the drivers from website.

The network adapter i installed fine also (i could access other machines and webpages via my router) and after it told me that to finish the setup i may need to reboot the machine... i rebooted the machine and it wouldnt bring the network back up so i tried to installed the network adapter again but it wont install. When i try adding the network card i select the driver, a box apears and disapears qucikly then starts the add network adapter wizard again, over and over... any ideas?

Xircon REM56G PCMCIA Network/Modem Adapter driver is on the mandrake cd's the correct driver for my network adapter xirc2ps_cs driver.

I'd really appreciate anyone who could help me, iv asked on irc and no one seems to have an answer....

now also try linux data peripherals base;(LDP), at: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX, for great tips and work-arounds.see section 4.4.1.4/4.2.1. those are specific on pcmcia`s.
