Login into domain from other Linux machine.

I have created a network of 4 Linux computers (SUSE 10, with Gnome GUI).

I have configured Samba so that a domain is created and filesharing is working.
With smb:// i can see the shares from all machines, so that's working.
I also checked the box on the Samba Clients which should enable the use of Samba user-password for Log-in on the machine.

My problem is that there's a list at the logon menu with all users in the domain, but when I select 1 and type the password it requires, it says the password is wrong... But I am a 100% sure it's right!

I am pretty sure I forgot to configure something on the Samba server that makes Domain Logons possible.
Can anyone tell me how to Login from a Linux machine? The web is overwhelmed with how to Logon from a Windows machine, but that's not what I want!!

Sorry for my lack of english...

Youn might want to try....On your clients did you install the winbind package? check your logs /var/log/messages to see if you are getting any errors. you could set up ethereal when you are trying to log into the server, to see if it is really tring to make a connection

thats weird that it gave you a parse error. did you just type in /var/log/messages ? if you did my bad. use this tail /var/log/messages after trying to login. post it so I can take a look at it. That will spit out the last 10 lines. it looks to me that you smb.conf file looks fine

This question I asked was because I needed to get this to work for a exam I am having within 8 hours... I've decided to let it go, it's not working and I don't have the time to do it anymore...

Thanks anyway!
