Linux Router Drops Packets

I am at a loss here. I have 2 linux Routers they are identical. Running 2.4.21-37.ELsmp, Bind, and IPP2P. one of the nics started to intermittently drop packets so I moved the IP address from box A to box B as a virtual address. the Physical address work fine. The virtual address is still showing the same problems. nothing bad shows up in var/log/messages and /var/log/mail. Any idea where else to look?

Resolved!

No idea what hands are, but i managed to just get a new box and reinstall and that took care of the problem think its an bad nic, we also later had the switch die, ( after it was working again) so the switch could have been failing.
