installing and configuring a domain for my department

Hi, recently all my workmates had network connections, some of them asked me if they can print in my printer, share some documents that sometimes all of us need and some stuff like mp3 and some videos.

So I'm the only that uses Linux -Debian Etch- my questions are:
1. Can I install and configure my own domain with email server, squid, samba, cups, apache, mysql just for my workmates?

2. this won't affect the all network? in the IT department the servers are:
windows: for dhcp,dns, wins
linux: for SQUID+Web content analyzer

3. can be 2 or more dns in our network? it won't be problems for issues such as user auth, dhcp relay, etc

4. The it department can figure out that there is an "unauthorized server" like me?

thanks a lot

You can install a domain controller locally, yes, not sure why you'd bother though. you don't *need* a domain in the slightest and will be far far more work than reward.
