how to share folder (read, write and execute) into the network


Hi! Im newbie in linux and I need to know how to configure about sharing the folder into the desktop like read, write, execute and allow user to access the share folder.. anyway I already share the folder into network all i want to know is how i can make to right the files and choose whose user to be access

Which linux distro? What kind of network (*nix, windows, mixed)?
Some distros, like SuSE, have a nice graphical interface for doing that.

Im using suse 10 and Im in the network with windows.

hi i too using suse 10.1

do one thing ..

/etc/samba/smb.conf

in this file give the path.

or go through
