how to setup a network in suse 9.2 with windows xp?

Hey Everyone,
Well I would like to know how to setup a network for filesharing in suse 9.2 and windows xp. The samba configuration is just not my thing. Ive heard of a program called smb4k and i have installed but i cant seem to get it to work. Does anybody know what is the best and easiest way to set up a network in linux?

Thank You.

Samba...in my opinion. It's pretty easy and works pretty good.

I've used SuSE since 7.x and Samba since 2.x and found that in SuSE 9.2 YaST is pretty good at setting up Samba. You still have to set up linux users and then do smbpasswd -a <linuxuser> as root to set up the Samba users, but if all you want is to get XP to see directories on your linux box it's pretty straightforward. The only major issue I had was to do with the SuSE firewall, which initially I had to turn off to get browsing to work. I could still map drives ok but Windows Network Neighbourhood couldn't browse. You may have to also play around with the firewalls on XP - the latest service pack turns on XP firewall by default as well as any third party firewall you may have - this doesn't stop internet access but it sure can muck up LAN access!
