How to clear the traffic-counter of NICs?


Hello.

Does anybody know, how to reset the counter without rebooting the machine?

"ifconfig eth0 down; ifconfig eth0 up" does not work...

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Obviously, noone knows it here...

Never mind. So, does someone knows an other forum where I may find the answer?
