How to clear CLOSE_WAIT state of socket

On local server after executing command
Code:
netstat -n | grep CLOSE_WAIT | wc -l
resulted 21. It is found, its jBoss application server's problem. Now to fix this we added native folder in bin.

To change CLOSE_WAIT socket state we restarted server. Then there is no problem of CLOSE_WAIT state. I want to know is there any alternate solution, to change state CLOSE_WAIT of socket other than machine restart?

"CLOSE_WAIT means that the local end of the connection has received
a FIN from the other end, but the OS is waiting for the program at the
local end to actually close its connection."

yes this is a problem with JBoss -- you should consult the user forums there. A google search on "jboss" and "close_wait" provides several leads.
