How does OpenVPN Linux server issues IP and netmask to OpenVPN clients on Windows XP
I am new to OpenVPN professional setup.
I am trying to connect my OpenVPN Windows XP remote clients to my network area through OpenVPN server running RHEL5. All clients at work are running Windows XP. The gateway of work area has local IP 10.27.22.101 and netmask 255.255.255.0. It has live IP 61.17.215.143 and netmask 255.255.255.0.
I want my client to get IP address in range of 10.27.22.75 to 10.27.22.100 and all netmask as 255.255.255.0. I believe this is not possible so I will accept if my clients will get IP range of 10.27.22.0/255.255.255.0 network. I am getting netmask as 255.255.255.252 and no gateway on my clients. WHAT CAN BE THE REASON FOR THIS AND SOLUTION FOR THIS?
The configurations are:
server.conf:
port 1194
proto tcp
dev tun0
ca ca.crt
cert server.crt
key server.key
dh dh1024.pem
server 10.27.22.0 255.255.255.0
ifconfig-pool-persist ipp.txt
push "route 10.17.22.0 255.255.255.0"
client-to-client
duplicate-cn
keepalive 10 120
comp-lzo
user nobody
group nobody
persist-key
persist-tun
status openvpn-status.log
log openvpn.log
log-append openvpn.log
verb 5
client.conf:
client
dev tun0
proto tcp
remote 61.17.215.143 1194
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
persist-key
persist-tun
ca c:\openvpn\ca.crt
cert c:\openvpn\client1.crt
key c:openvpn\client1.key
comp-lzo
verb 5
Thanks in advance.
