Well, Let me start it from beginning:
I am using RHEL 3.0 and I want to configure Disk Quota for users so that I can Linit their access. for this, I've add new users using "useradd" cmd and assign their respective passwords.
After it, I've configured Disk Quota on users home directory as usual and it works well through CLI mode. I've added the following line in /etc/fstab file:
/dev/hdb4 /home ext2 usrquota,grpquota 1 2
Then, I've used "edquota -u username" cmd to give proper quota limits to respective users and I've also done other necessary things. It works well in CLI mode.
Then, I decided to configure all home directories (on which, I've set up Quota) using SAMBA so that users (who work on Windows 2000) can able to save data under their given limit.
SAMBA works well, but when I try to save more data then specified Quota limit, it doesn't show any error message and users are able to save more data than quota limit from My network places -> entire network -> ... So on.
Please help me and provide enough information about how can i enable Disk Quota with SAMBA.
A little help would be great effort. I am very newbie and have been working on Linux Platform for just 1 month at my home. Please help me...
With Warm Regards & Thanks In Advance
