Gigabit NIC and Suse 9.1

Hi all

Just upgraded a server from Suse 8.2 to Suse 9.1. The machine has a National NIC 83820 which worked before but now kills the machine when the NIC is configured - this is true with 2 similar cards in 2 different machines. I assume it's a driver issue but I don't know how to solve it.

Any help much appreciated.

Dunno about that particular card, but I've had success with Intel's Pro1000 MT Gigabit NIC and NetGear's Gigabit Card with Suse 9.1. Hopefully, you won't have to buy a new adapter, but just be aware that the above mentioned NICs DO work with the supplied Suse software.
