/etc/reslove.conf

Hello Everyone,

I have using FC9. When I edit this file it will automatically wash my changes. I want to add my nameserver 192.168.1.253 in it. I made that entry four or five times but every time when I refresh the services the changes which I made will be washout.

[root@nxb /]# cat /etc/reslov.conf

# generated by NetworkManager, do not edit!

# No nameservers found; try putting DNS servers into your
# ifcfg files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts like so:
#
# DNS1=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
# DNS2=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
# SEARCH=lab.foo.com bar.foo.com

If anyone help in this regard I will thankful for him

NetworkManager configures your network so do as the file says and edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/<your_network_interface> and add nameserver there. Alternatively disable NetworkManager.

Isn't this obvious? Just read what it says there.
