DSL internet setup


I just installed Linux Mandrake and I can't figure out how to set up my DSL roadrunner connection .. I'm using a networking box if that matters any. Any help would be appreciated.

You can use DrakConnect to configure your internet from a GUI.

rp-pppoe is fine, search on goofle to find it, it's at roamingpenguins.com or something like this. and PLZ don't the use the RPM, it's buggy, broken and bad...

hmm, I have linux mandrake 7.1 .. with KDE and I'm having trouble finding what I need to do to configure the connection ...

You need some things. Go to THIS thread, I don't want to write another step by step again. Look at the thread before the last one, it should get you on the ways.

well i downloaded the rp-pppoe to a disk .. and my a drive .. well i cant get it to open on linux

floppy disk?

have you mounted the floppy? what you mean by "can't open"?

yes my floppy disk, it says "couldn't list directory contents file:/mnt/floppy/" and theirs no option to mount it

have you tried " mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy " in a prompt?
