Driver for SMC8040 pc card

hey all - I want to install the driver for SMC8040 pcmcia card. it says in the readme file:

The source version
is available at <hyper.stanford.edu> in the "/pub/pcmcia" directory, as
"pcmcia-cs-x.tar.gz".

I think the link is gone now - any suggestions where to go from here?

pcmcia-cs was only for 2.4 kernels. Modern package is pcmciautils. This contains userspace tools. You still need PCCard driver(s) enabled in kernel. If your distro comes with pcmcia_core kernel module then it probably has support also for your PCI-to-PCMCIA bridge and the final component for this particular device is probably tulip driver.
I have no clue if mainstream disros still build their kernels with PCMCIA/Cardbus support enabled. You may need to configure and build your own custom kernel.
