Just one more question if I may: currently I cannot see my webpage from the PC where I have the server, all I can see is my router access screen, but it would be very useful to see my webpage. Is it possible for me to see any webpage from the machine where I host it? If so, how do I do that?

You have to read your router's documentation to see how to forward port 80 to your server.

Thanks. All working now!

For anyone else who has a similar problem where you can't see your own webpage where the server runs from inside your router, all you need to do is enable loopback. I have a Speedtouch 585 and used netkit-telnet to get on to my router's CLI and simply followed the syntax given in this link:

http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/speedtouch585.htm

I saved the changes and restarted my router.

Problem fixed.

Marvellous.
