Question dhcpd.master or dhcpd.conf

I am trying to add a dynamic pool of ips to the dhcpd.master file. If I put in a fixed address, I do get the ip that I assigned which tells me that dhcp is working. When I put the address in to get a ip from the pool it fails to get an ip. Can someone help?

Thanks in advance.
